“Gacchati” is a Pali (one of the ancient Indian languages) word that implies to move toward … now, that could be toward one’s goal or future. This mixed media piece (42” x 28”) explores duality of life. The past might have less light as it fades from memory yet, we remember bright moments. The future does imply aging/mortality … yet, wiser new realizations make us seek the unexplored light!

Interesting painting.Where does the bird fly to? The tree looks like the silver tree of Gondor.
ReplyDeleteWhere are you exhibiting next?
Nice work. Looks like musical notes are forming sceneries.
ReplyDeleteInteresting use of colors. Ethereal. I see profound symbolism in the opposite direction of wind as the bird takes a liberating flight.
ReplyDeleteFantastic painting 🖌️
ReplyDeleteThe bird has only outlines, no body. Toe it symbolises our unformed aspirations, which are yet to be given a shape.
ReplyDeleteFantastic!
Awepurbo! The vibrancy and concept are both very impressive. Please carry on!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and idea behind it. Let’s connect when you’re back in the SoHo area.
ReplyDeleteThat’s really beautiful! The bird flying towards the future is very symbolic
ReplyDeleteVery attractive and deliberate choice of colors Chirantan. I’m wondering about your central space, is that midday sun under eclipse? Would you be open to a private comission on some ideas we have?

ReplyDeleteThe painter has intelligently used references from the impressionist movement to the pre-cubism world, with a vibrant palette as a signature style.
ReplyDeleteWe love the backstory of the title and wish him success at the Florence 2024 exhibition.
